What is the Kyoto Accord? The Kyoto Accord is an international treaty whereby countries agree to reduce the amount of greenhouse gases they emit if their neighbors do likewise. It was designed as a first step to preventing a potentially devastating increase in global temperatures and its associated catastrophes.
