Order of the Coif Lecture Nov. 10, 1998

The Order of the Coif is a national organization that recognizes distinguished scholarship among law students and has had a chapter at Washington and Lee since 1950. Washington and Lee was chosen this year to host one of three national lectures sponsored by the Order of the Coif.

Charles J. Ogletree, Jr.

Charles J. Ogletree Jr., the Jesse Climenko Professor of Law and faculty director of Clinical Programs at Harvard Law School, will present this year's Order of the Coif lecture. Professor Ogletree is the founder and director of the Criminal Justice Institute and Saturday School Program. He is the author of many works in the fields of criminal justice and professional responsibility. Professor Ogletree earned his B.A. and M.A. from Stanford University in 1974 and 1975 respectively, and his J.D. from Harvard Law School in 1978.
