The Tucker Lecture

The Tucker Lecture, which was first presented in 1949, the Law School's centennial year, is named for the late John Randolph Tucker, the first dean of the Law School.

Pauline Maier

Pauline Maier, the William R. Kenan Jr. Professor of History at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, will deliver the 50th annual Tucker Lecture. Professor Maier is the author of many important works, including American Scripture: Making the Declaration of Independence. She has served on the faculty at M.I.T. since 1978. Professor Maier earned her A.B. from Radcliffe College in 1960, was a Fulbright Scholar at the London School of Economics during the 1960-61 academic year and earned her Ph. D. from Harvard in 1968.
